The leader of London Bridge terrorists washed blood off his knife and wiped it on his beard in a “chilling gesture” as his victims bled to death.
Khuram Butt, 27, was pictured on CCTV going behind the bar of a restaurant to callously rinse the 12inch ceramic blade under a tap having just stabbed one customer in the throat.
The images were among many harrowing clips shown during the second day of the inquest into the deaths of three women and five men murdered during the atrocity on June 3, 2017.
Wearing an Arsenal shirt and camouflage trousers, Butt and his two accomplices were pictured strolling around the busy London streets slashing and stabbing at passers by.

The bloodcurdling screams of victims echoed around the Old Bailey court room after Jonathan Hough QC, counsel for the coroner, repeatedly warned the bereaved families that “distressing images” would be shown.
At one point during the onslaught attacker Youssef Zaghba, 22, was pictured calmly stopping to have a drink of water.
Another clip showed fellow thug Rachid Redouane, 30, casually bending down to tie his shoelaces before going on to plunge his knife into more victims.
Mobile phone video, one of the few clips with audio, graphically captured the panic and terror among the Saturday night revellers as the knifemen could be heard shouting “Allahu Akbar”.
